Conditional
Sentence (Kalimat pengandaian/ Kalimat bersayarat)
Merupakan kalimat yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
sesuatu yang mungkin terjadi atau tidak mungkin terjadi seperti yang
diharapkan, Kalimat pengandaian terdiri atas dua bagian, yaitu main clause
(induk kalimat) dan if clause (anak kalimat). Dalam if clause terkandung
syarat-syarat yang harus dipenuhi agar keadaan seperti terkandung dalam main
clause dapat terwujud. Oleh karena itu, conditional sentences disebut juga
kalimat bersyarat.
A.
TIPE
1 (IF + PRESENT TENSE, S + WILL + V1 + O)
Menunjukan
kejadian yang benar dimasa sekarang atau masa depan. Kejadian kedua (simple
future) akan terjadi jika kejadian pertama (simple present) terpenuhi. Tipe 1
disebut juga dengan PENGHARAPAN.
1. If
i study, i will get a high score.
2. If
i college, i will has bachelor’s degree.
3. If
i get money, i will save in part.
4. If
your score is 3,25 , you will can decree.
5. If
you have graduated from college, you will find a job.
6. If
i have free time , i will play with my friend.
7. If
i finish my college, i will make my parents happy.
8. If
i read a book, i will has many knowledge.
9. if
i dont have breakfast, i always get hungry all day.
10. If
your score is low, you should study harder.
B.
TIPE
2 (IF + PAST TENSE, S + WOULD + V1 + O – IMAGINATION)
Menunjukan
kejadian yang tidak benar di masa sekarang. Kejadian kedua akan terjadi (past
future) jika kejadian pertama (simple past) terpenuhi. Tipe 2 disebut dengan
PENGANDAIAN.
1. If
i had much money , i would buy a motorcycle.
2. If
i was a docter , i would cure many people.
3. If
she were singer, she would have beautiful voice.
4. If
you followed me , you would be secure.
5. If
you were businessman, you would earn money easily.
6. If
i was midwife, i would helped many pregnant mom.
7. If
i had business, i would expand my business.
8. If today was holiday, i would go to dufan.
9. If
i went to paris, i would go to eifel tower.
10. If
my brother was basketball player, he would join the championship.
C.
TIPE
3 (IF + PAST PERFECT TENSE, S + WOULD HAVE + V 3 + O)
Menunjukan
kejadian yang tidak benar di masa lampau. Kejadian kedua akan terjadi (past
future perfect) jika kejadian pertama (past perfect) terpenuhi. Tipe 3 disebut
dengan PENYESALAN.
1. If
i had studied beauty school, i would have openned beauty salon.
2. If
i had remembered your birthday, i would have to attended your party.
3. If
you had been careful, you would’not have broken your car.
4. If
i had known that you were in my office, i would have met you.
5. If
my sister told me that she did not like pink lipstick, i would have not bought
a pink lipstick.
6. If
we had known how to make the delicious spagethy, we would not have bought it.
7. If
the weather had been nice, we would have went to safari park.
8. If
we had finished our report, the boss would have asked us to collect them.
9. If
he had been to a great staff, he would have been promoted as a supervisor.
10. If
the waitress had been careful, she wouldn’t have broken many plates.
